In my opinion, I think that the 2012 event is B.S. For years, people have thought that the world was going to end: why are we still
here? Why are conspiracy theorists trying to scare people into believing this paranoia?
I think that conspiracy theorists are biased and speculative.

Why exactly is our planet Earth going to be destroyed in 2012? People say we are destroying our landfills by not recycling and the ozone layer is getting thinner, but there is so many details to work with, that there is pretty much no possible way in figuring out why our Planet Earth is going to be destroyed by then!

asked this question in the religion and spirituality section and most people there guessed extremely high… not that I give credence to the doomsday prophecies, but global tensions do appear to be heating up a bit and 2012 is on a lot of people’s minds

Because conspiracy theories about the new world order are similar to the 2012 world ending story such as , de-population through vaccines for ’swine flu’ etc and one world government which would have happened because everyone left in the movie 2012 all started life again in africa and would have had a new government.

I’m hearing all this stuff about the world coming to an end on December 21st of 2012. Does anybody think this is true? As crazy as it sounds I am sort of worried about it.

We all know that emergency kits are good things to have where we can grab them quickly in case of disaster. Yet many of us do not take the time to put them together, even though we know in an emergency they could save our lives. And these kits really are not all that hard to assemble.
There are suggested emergency kit lists available in many places on the Internet. Some items are standard throughout all kits but may be modified according to the area you live in, for example, if blizzards are common. Individual needs to be considered are medical conditions and any pets you may have.
Bottled water is one of the key ingredients in your emergency kit. Water is the thing we can live without for the least amount of time. You will also want food that does not spoil quickly, that is lightweight and requires minimal, if any, preparation. Power bars are always a good choice. Do not forget to include food and water for your pets.

The Mayan Calendar is the basis for most of these so-called prophecies, but it does not specifically say that doomsday will come in 2012. Their calendar just happens to end in that year. It had to end at some point, since no one can make an eternal calendar. Is there any solid scientific support?
