Do You Think America Will Vote In A Republican In 2012?

Hypothetically, if Obama fails and our Country’s problems worsen…
Why do some Republicans think that would be a win for the 2012 Republican candidate? Why are the Republicans so sure that America will elect their party back into power and not the Libertarian or Independent party or any other political party?

No, Bush failed and was still re-elected.
No, it’s not going to happen. The economy is already rebounding and by 2012 it will be looking great. Of course, Obama and Democrats will rightfully get all the credit. Long term the Republican party is dead. They only appeal to one ethnic group (white people) which happens to be the group that continues to shrink in percentage of the electorate with each election cycle. They won two recent elections by razor thin margins and then they lost by several points in the last election. As time goes by it will be harder and harder, and finally impossible for them to win the White House ever again.
The way things are going, and Obama’s brain set, he wants to be King Dictator. I feel that Obama is selfish enough, like a spoiled child to stop the elections, declare Marshall Law, and Declare his self as Dictator. Everything he is doing and saying, points this out. Obama will never give up that post without a fight, he has already totally disregarded the Constitution, has his terrorist inside called Czars, he is forcing a civilian army and he will be known as the New Hitler, cause he would really like to be the World Leader (Dictator). Obama has a plan, and it is bad for America. If by some very small chance, he does not do as I stated , he will will not be re elected, I would bet on it. We can only hope and pray that God Blesses America in 2010, midterm elections, and the people vote out that majority, at least it will give us more time to try and save America from this socialist that is trying to destroy America.
If your scenario holds and the Obama presidency fails I still do not see a Republican being elected. Republicans have done nothing to regain the trust from the American people. If anything the Republicans lost even more ground since Bush. If anything that might be the perfect set up for a Independent or a Libertarian to come into power.
Typically after a Democratic Administration the pendulum of politics swings hard back in the favor of the Republicans and conservatives. Americans must have short memories and a masochistic streak in them and once they are done gtting beat in the head by Democrats they welcome the stability and level headedness of a more peaceful level headed style of leadership.
Because the libertarian and independent parties don’t have enough popularity. Didn’t you take a politics/government class in high school? Unless something goes really crazy, it’s going to be either the democrats or the republicans, but hopefully the republicans!
The only chance that the GOP has in 2012 is if Ross Perot appears upon the scene in a cape. The Log Cabin Republicans will think that ‘ole Ross and his sweet cheeks are in town for a drag show. Other Republicans will think he is just “going a little too far in spelling out his politics”. Can I finish, can I finish, can I finish…WHERE O WHERE IS DANA CARVEY WHEN ‘YA NEED HIM?
The die has been cast for the Republicans for all time- they screwed everyone, even themselves. Some of them sure made a lot of money though. Practice what you preach or become a televangelist, I always say.
That would depend on who was nominated.
However, I think the country may well vote anti Obama. Possibly only the congress would change, as with Clinton, however.
I would like to see who the Repubs would consider for a nominee. Just too early to speculate on that.
But no, no third party has ever been successful in winning the Presidency.
Depends on who they find, I hope for the rise of a new party, but thats just me. Republicans and democrats are the same thing in my eyes, crooks, liars and cheats.
If Obama fails, it will be a Libertarian or Independent, or some third party. Pray President Obama will not fail.

so far obama’s doin ok with the problems he was handed, so from a kid in a conservative family i would say probably not.

Same reason why, if a republican presidency goes bad, a democrat will be elected next, America has two major parties, after 10 years, they get tired of one and switch to the other.
that is why I am confident that democrats will get their near 10 years with Obama winning 2012, or a republican will win instead.

I think we see a repeat of the 90s. Republicans gain Congressional seats in 2010 and 2012, but Obama keeps the presidency.
obama can’t fail he told us he would need 10-14 years to fix the economy. america will keep him around as long as obama says we need him.
