Weird the mayan calendar has been accurate up to the date of 2012 to which it ends. Obama ends his term 2012. Does this have anything in common?

Really? What has the Mayan calendar predicted? Nothing at all? That’s right! I really don’t know where you’re getting this stuff, but it’s a load of crap. My calendar ends in December – does that mean the world will end? No, it starts over in Jan. The Mayan calendar starts over too. Not as if there was any significance to it in the first place. It’s also a leap year and the olympics. Fishing much?
The Mayan calendar does NOT end in 2012. That is a lie invented in the 1990s by some dude claiming to be a reincarnated Mayan priest (he is not).
At best, the Mayan calendar passes a round figure, either on Dec. 21 or Dec. 23.
The Mayan calendar is not “accurate”: it is only a day-count calendar (each day has a distinct number which is “1″ more than the date of the preceding day).
The Mayan calendar’s cycle is based on a precession period of 25,627 years (the real period is 25,800 years); this gives them the same level of accuracy as all the other civilizations who practiced astronomy (the Greeks had done the same calculation at least a thousand years before the Mayans).
So, it you are looking for something “in common”:
The Mayan calendar continues well beyond 2012…
the myan calendar is cyclic. it follows the migration of the constellations as they move across the sky a fraction of a degree per year. every five thousand years or so, they make a full revolution. we just happen to be near the end of our current revolution.
however the myans also believed that at the end of a cycle that there would be a “cleansing” of the earth, in which it would be destroyed and then reborn anew.
it remains to be seen about the second bit, but the myan calendar doesn’t actually end in 2012. it starts over.
no, the Mayan calendar does not end on 12/31/2012 and you and anyone else who believes it will has swallowed just one part of a GIGANTIC hoax
see link below for the truth
It’s a coincidence. The Mayans used multiple calendars, and that one ran out simply because they had no logical need to make a calendar that ran so far into the future.
yes ,..in no certain terms it means that a cycle has been completed and going forward it’s the beginning of the start in relationship to all those we hold dear.
I don’t believe so, I believe he will get reelected. Just stating my opinion.
