Whats to stop Michigan and Fl. from going out of turn/order in 2012 if they get a chance to do it over again?

Do you think that masses of people will get worked up about this thing as 2012 approaches? And could the mass hysteria result in some events that make it into a sort of self fulfilling thing?

Our next presidential election is Nov. 6, 2012 and the notorious Doomsday prophecy predicts that the world will end on Dec. 21, 2012. How do you think this will effect the next presidential election?
