What are some good examples to lead the listener interested in Christ?

Alright, let me say first off I think there is a very VERY slimm chance of the world ending in 2012. So here are my questions.
1.) Do you believe any of this about the world ending?
2.) If anything happens out of particular, besides the world ending, what do you think it will be?
3.) Why was the theory of the world ending in 2012 started?

My fiancee is stuck on this theory about the world ending in 2012.? Where did this theory originate??

Oprah Winfrey as Vice Prez of the USA, with Al Gore as PREZ! Can anyone see that? And if you don’t, why? If you do, why? Explain. I do see it happening when she went out with Obama. Before they asked her if she would ever do it, and she was in that phase of “I don’t want my finances revealed” but now things are different with a black candidate, so could anyone see Oprah and Al as leaders of this country in 2012 elections?

I saw on a documentary that in 2012 our solar system will have a unique alignment with the sun and also will complete it’s ‘wobble’. Can anyone confirm this and also the consequences?

Armageddon? Why? I know that they are basing it off of a Mayan calendar, but why do they find this calendar to be so important? What other evidence to these people have about 2012?

I know the Mayan calender makes 2012 a special year, but i also heard that the I CHING system of hexagrams can in some way be made into a calender that when interpreted, says something will happen in 2012, is any of this right?

I would really like the opinion or perspective of a college professor, preferably a university. What do you think of the dec 21, 2012 prophecy by the mayans, what does it mean to you, what do you believe will happen, what is your evidence or theory to support your perspective. A lot of people just like to dismiss the idea alltogether, but I think we should be paying very special attention to it, I dont think humanity will end on dec 21, I think we will go through some very BIG changes though.
