What Do You Guys Think About 2012 And All That?

as you know many people have created this figment or theory as to why 2012 will be the end of the world, and how the mayans calender stops on that date, concluding that would be our doom.?! if you believe in revelations how do you think 2012 will proceed?

I would call it silly if so many people were not getting scared about it.
One of several Mayan calendars is the Long Count calendar, which is reset to day 0 every 1,872,000 days or 7057.5 years. The next reset date, by some calculations, is December 21, 2012. This is not a prediction of the end of the world.
These predictions are scare tactics, conspiracy theories, and chances to make money from books and movies.
Ever since the Y2K and 6/6/6 (June 6, 2006) End of the World scenarios did not pan out, the scare mongers, conspiracy theorists, book sellers, and television executives have been touting the 2012 End of the World scenario. When 2012 does not happen either, I am sure they will think of something else.

Jesus told us in no uncertain terms that we were not to know when the end of the world would come but that we were always to be ready.
The early Christian Church thought that Jesus was going to return at any moment. Only after a couple of centuries did the Church realize that it may be 2,000 or 4,000 or 8,000 years before Jesus returns.
The Catholic Church wisely follows Jesus’ advice and teaches that each of us should live as if we will meet our maker in the next ten minutes and that we need to work to make the world a better place for our 100 X great-grandchildren.
Do not worry about the end of the world. Trust God to make sure everything happens to plan. Just be ready to meet God at any time.

My favorite explination is that the Mayans decided to stop making the calendar because they “went home” as though they were aliens or something. It makes me giggle every time I hear it.
The way I see it is if you look throughout history, the world was supposed to end THOUSANDS of times before now, it wasn’t true at those times. I see no reason that it would be now.
Well certainly the politicians thought the world will be going to hell in a hand basket, because they allowed an African to be commander and chief. It wasn’t out of let everyone have the chance to administer policy. It was the ship is sinking on every level plus the Mayan calendar and Nostradamus, and the Euro, and the New World order business, and Lucent technologies. Something is definitely going to happen in 2012, it may be that Jesus Christ will come with a shout as stated in the bible or that the meteor “Wormwood” as stated in the bible, will hit the earth turning a 3rd of the drinking water bitter. In any event if you read the bible things are going to get worst, as bad as we have never seen and eventually we wont be able to buy or sell anything with cash(they’re moving us ever presently to a cashless society) only those who have the mark of the beast(this could be a social security number or any kind of a number or stamp of some kind on the body, certain people have already received a chip into their bodies). It’s for sure that everyone will see and notice a big change.
If mankind is to meet their doom, then I hope its something cool like an alien invasion or zombie epidemic, ya know, something kickass!
Anything else, minus a gamma burst from space, is just cruel.
However, I think if mankind is to fade, itll be by our hand most likely.
I think 2012 will procceed. The whole thing is just a hoax. Did u know by the way that the calnder also says that the world has been destroyed 5 times already. Also the calendar is the myan calendar not American or japanese or Russian. The calendar could of been the end of the myans but the Spanish interfiered. But of course u never know…

In regards to the revelation statement; maybe 2012 is the year the anti-christ comes into power.

It says, “Future is unclear”.
i think it a load of crap! if da world does end, it will b a random date and time & we won’t b able 2 predict it.
