What Do You Think About The 2012 World Ending Theory?

Me and my friend got freaked out when we heard about the big bang theory experiement, which turns out was safe and there was no black hole. What do you guys think about the 2012 theory?

It’s not a theory. A theory (in proper scientific use) has evidence supporting it. The 2012 doomsday is a hoax.
It’s garbage.
Everything you have heard about 2012 is full of half-truths and outright lies, with the following exceptions.
1. There will be an American presidential election in 2012.
2. The Summer Olympics will be in London in 2012.
3. The Planet Venus will transit the Sun in 2012. (The only effect of this will be that a small dot will be visible on the sun in telescopes that are adapted to look at the sun.)
4. There will be natural disasters, war, famine, plague, etc… but no more than in any other year.
That is all. Everything else is bull.
Nostradamus didn’t predict anything for 2012.
Some people think the Mayans did, but they are wrong. The Mayan Calendar is just a very long calendar. It does NOT predict the end of the world. It just so happens that the Mayan version of “December 31, 1999″ falls on what we would call “December 21, 2012.” The Mayan calendar contains events that happen AFTER 2012, even after 4000 AD, so clearly the world will not “end” at this point.
(You’ll remember that a lot of fools also thought the world was going to end in 12-31-1999, but it didn’t. Same deal.)
The hoaxters mainly choose 12212012 because of numerology (which is also garbage) and the repeating and reversal of “12″, and also because December 21 being the winter solstice, the day of least sunlight in the Northern hemisphere, it was considered the “End” of the year by MANY ancient civilizations. And that’s ALL. They just had different ways of counting the years.
All the other predictions:
“pole shifts” (which take thousands of years to even start)
“galactic plane crossing” (a lie, we’re far above the galactic plane and moving away from it)
“galactic alignment” (We don’t even know exactly where the galaxy’s center is – it’s obscured by gas and dust and other stars – so we sure as hell can’t predict an alignment with it with any accuracy)
“killer planet Nibiru” (physically impossible)
and everything else, are completely and totally made-up.
There are NO scientists who believe in this 2012 nonsense. If you see someone claiming “scientists” said so, ask for names and degrees, because they either don’t exist, or got their “degree” from some mail-in fake “university of pulp paper.”
Here’s a likely-true 2012 Prediction: This answer will be thumbs-downed by obessed 2012 trolls.
The 2012 is a theory taken from the Mayan calender which also ends on 2012, it was also predicted by the chinese (I forgot how) and it was predicted by the internet (spiders were sent out into the world wide web and it can gather information to predict things, it predicted many things that actually did happen) Don’t worry half the people that know about 2012 think it’s bull and half think it’s true. If it’s true it’s probably something devastating so there’s a high chance you’ll die, but if it’s all a lie we just get on with our lives. The only time you’ll be worrying is if you survive and the world looks like it’s been through a nuclear war.
People who promote 2012 are doing so to sell books and advertising on their doomsday shows. After each “predicted” doomsday passes with nothing happening there is a new one invented. I have watched the 2012 Doomsday program on the History (Hysteria) Channel. The content isn’t about any real 2012 event happening and it isn’t about history. It is about selling books and selling advertising on the TV programs.
There is no scientific theory that anything unusual is going to happen in 2012. ZERO scientists believe that anything out of the ordinary will happen in 2012. It is all total CRAP. These people are interested in one thing – MONEY. And by listening to their programs and/or buying their books you provide them with – MONEY. The more MONEY they make the more twists and turns they invent to make it more interesting so you will listen to new TV programs so they can make even MORE MONEY.
If you had hogwash to sell wouldn’t you try and package it so looked like prime rib? That is just what these shysters are doing… selling to those who will listen – HOGWASH. Drink deep!!! They need MORE MONEY. They need YOUR MONEY.

i truely believe it will happen. i heard about it a couple years ago. that all of southern california was going to be sucked under water.
it will be so sad that the end will come for all the humans that are living on earth right now.
so many people to convince, so little people believing.
i’ve tried convincing my friends and family. they just keep saying “live your life, whatever happens happens.”
so far i’ve only been able to convince one friend.
i think it is selfish for all people to think about themselves.
they need to watch the movie “the day the earth stood still”. I watched it in december and it got me thinking about 2012.
especially because i saw the movie commercial in theaters saying to google search 2012.
i was watching some youtube videos and doing research and supposebly there is a planet of the gods that is going to come in between the sun and earth and everyone on earth will be able to see it. there is a reason why we live and die, why this will all be destroyed soon, everything mankind has created. we weren’t meant to build cities, destroy nature with our nuclear and gas pollution. we came on this earth and grew intelligence like if we rule this earth but we actually don’t.
i am reading a book called “the idiot’s guide to 2012″. and i am believing it more in more. there are 5 prophecies of the future, of the mayans, we do not know about that they are hiding us from. it could be anything. i can’t wait until the 2012 movie comes out in november but i think there will be a lot of commotion on it.
the message the commercial says about our government not warning 6,000,000 people on this earth of the end is true. because people choose their knowledge and beliefs over the actual. they look into themselves and life, not into reality and all that we’ve become and beyond the facts.
my u.s. history says the government most likely knows who killed president kennedy. they know many things that they keep from the people. it is like UFO’s. they are out there but people think they are above all kind and choose to not believe in them. i am 16 and i do not believe in god. i believe the bible was created by human. i am not trying to offend anybody.
i just don’t understand why even if there is proof for many things out there, people choose to believe they are right and everyone else is wrong.
who is to say the mayans and all the greek and roman people that foretold world war 1, world war 2, the holocaust, napoleon, september 11, hurricane katrina, all the lunar eclipses, etc., are not right if everything they said came true? is it pure coincedence?
for millions of people’s deaths speaking i don’t think it is a coincedence.

if the government didnt believe in some way this wasnt true, then why are there tv shows about it, why are they making a movie on it and spreading it world wide, so the whole world can watch it?

What do I think about 2012 “theory” (please that word between “”…). I think it’s the most commercial impact ever made by Human Beings. And the most stupid one that attracted a bunch of ignorant people behind…
God…I really believe that animals are much better than Humans…at least they live their life on daily basis as it comes, without thinking and having this “surviving” instinct in them every single second. They’re just amazing.
Bring it on, I am tired of living in this world. I am 20 and can’t even find a girlfriend. I guess I am a loser or something. I don’t know what the “bad guys” have that I don’t. I am just tired of trying to figure out the impossible. Let me go out with a bang!!!
The said a big change will occur not the end of the world maybe the end of the world as we know it.
I think it will be us discovering ET or ET discovering us would be the biggest change to occur to humanity and the planet as a whole.
The Haldran Collider is not a “big bang experiment”, but 2012 is just a mayan calandar misunderstanding. It’s supposed to be a new age, not the end of the world.

Yeah, it’s the Mayan calendar thing. I don’t think it’s going to happen. The end of the world will be sometime in 2060.
Winter solstice 2012 is just the revealing of the ‘antichrist’ or the ‘man of perdition’ at the mid-point of what Christians call the 7 year Tribulation (just subtract 1260 days to get the start and add 1260 days to get the end).
