What Is Your Say About The 2012 Predictions/movie?

i’m going to be completely honest and say that they should have never made a movie about this. it’s just going to scare people more and give people more of a reason to actually believe that such a thing is going to happen. although i personally don’t believe this prediction, it still kind of freaks me out and it’s a difficult thing to ignore. i think making a 2012 film was the worst idea ever. it wouldn’t have been such a bad idea if there weren’t actual predictions about the world ending in 2012.

There were no predictions, only wild claims made by wackos and frauds. I agree that the movie shouldn’t have been made and they shouldn’t have used their viral marketing campaign pretending it was real in order to scare people into buying tickets.
Yes, and this 2012 scare is too lame a story to spend $200 million on yet another craptastic disaster movie, forgotten the next day. The only way the disaster will be real is if people don’t pay the $10 to see it. I will do my part to make that disaster happen, hehe.
agreed, although i wanna go see the movie. Although i don’t thinkits gonna happen
The Mayans made a calendar that went thousands of years in the future. They had to stop somewhere…
The “predictions” about the world ending in 2012 were all made up by some nutjobs in 2003. When their prediction the world would end in 2003 didn’t happen (obviously they must have misinterpreted what the aliens told them through their brain implants…) they decided to revise the date to 2012.
And since 12/21/2012 is the start of a new cycle in the Mayan Long Count calendar, that’s a good date. And since no one will bother to do any research of their own, we’ll just say that the calendar ENDS on that date and that meant that the Mayans predicted the world would end then too).
But, since a few people would do a bit of research, those pillars of veracity added a bunch of nonsense science (like “pole shift” and “galactic alignment” and “Nibiru”) to the pile of trash they were building.
And suddenly, we have a bunch of uneducated people that are too lazy to do any research of their own panicking about something that isn’t real and has no basis in fact.
Perhaps by releasing this movie now, people will have time to get over it all.
