What Will Happen In The Year 2012 According To The Prophecies?

I’ve heard many theories and rumors but where do these ideas come from?? I don’t know much about the bible and its prophecies but I’ve heard non christians and catholics mention things similar to the theories (not specifically 2012) but that around that time is a spiritual turnpoint for us. Any backup or proof or theories that show something massive IS going to happen??

Many great prophets and oracles have predicted the end of days in 2012: Nostradamus, Cybil, Chinese, the Mayans, Merlin, etc.
It sounds a little far fetched that our world as we know it could end in just 4 years…but they have the science to prove it.
The prophets have an amazing track record. I suggest reading some books on Nostradamus. The mayans were amazing astronomers; they predicted lunar eclipses thousands of years into the future…and were right.
Science has proved that every 13,000 years the sun and the stars align, and when this happens the earth will switch poles. (Science has shown that the equator used to be where Alaska is). When this happens there will be a magnetic shift. And well you can only imagine what will happen. Massive earthquakes and destructive tsunamis. This will wipe out life as we know it. Even if this event were to take place over a period of days, there would still be massive destruction.
This science points toward the winter of 2012. December 21, 2012 to be exact. Leading up to this year prophets predicted (as well as the alignment of the stars and sun) that there would be basically a nuclear war. And that much of the population would be wiped out by fire. Nostradamus even said this would be by a muslim. The battle of religion.
There is much more to the prophecies and what not, i suggest watching the history channel and doing some research of your own.
Who knows. This may not happen..but it’s good to be open to opinion and not ignorant to the signs. Enjoy life for what it is; the simple gift of existence.
.The year 20 12 will come and go just as any other day .There seems to be a sense of morbid fascination about the end of the world,it’s like people just love to be scared,like watching some horror movie and all of these rumors about destruction on that date is an invention of frightened humans who are understandably confused due to the fact that we have a lack of true self realization and spirituality.Everything will be just fine.Think of all the times when the world was predicted to end on a certain date by both scientists and religious groups alike and when that date came and nothing happened!!
today this unjustice,unhappy,comaprisions,hurts,sup… relationships is due to mind.
by 2012 god will reduce the mindpower to low and increase the heart power.
everybody will be there with more heart power i.e living according to heart/god.
those who are with more mind power now are will die, those constructions/companies/empires made on the base of mind power will be destroyed.
we never know what will happen then. dec21,2012 was just a prediction, for it’s the end of the Mayan calendar. The bible never tells a date about the end of the earth, but gives clues and many are here today and makes us believes that we are in the end of times
There was a group of folks many years ago that had human sacrifices to thier gods and thier calendar is going to run out in the year 2012 so some folks thinks it is going to be the end of the world…….Stupid humans….

edit: Of course, i wouldn’t be too surprised if that happened BEFORE or even AFTER 2012.

2009/2010…The events described in the Book of Revelation begin. These events are often called “The Apocalypse”…however, this is not the end of the world. These events take many many years to unfold.
2010/2011….Along and bloody war begins. It is World War 3. After the small war among Arab nations , the Arab nations will join forces. They will threaten and attack the United States. They will explode a nuclear bomb in New York City. Next they will threaten and attack Europe. They will eventually conquer all of Europe, parts of eastern Europe and the northern part of Africa.This War will be a war against nations and also a war against the Christian faith. They will burn churches and prohibit public Christian worship in the occupied countries. This war will last for many years, from 2010 to 2018/2019.
This war is the First Horseman and the First Seal of the book of Revelation. As regards to the year 2012 the war will be in its second year. In 2038 many pieces of a comet which has broken apart, fall to earth. There is fire and destruction over about a third of the earth. It is quite possible this could happen as early as 2012. In fact it could happen on both dates (2012 and 2038) This Comet is the First Trumpet of the Seventh Seal.
