Scientists don’t expect anything out of the ordinary to happen in the year 2012, or specifically on the date December 21, other than the solstice, which happens every year.
None of the “predicted” happenings for 2012 hold up under close scrutiny. “Planet X” and “Nibiru” simply don’t exist. The Mayan calendar ends a cycle, but there were no predictions of the end of the world. The Sun doesn’t line up with the galactic centre; it’s 6 degrees off. No asteroids or comets are actually predicted to hit Earth.
All of this stuff was put together by crackpots in order to promote their books and TV shows, and shamelessly promoted by the History Channel. Don’t take any of it seriously!
I’m considering starting a group myself, but not for any specific date. Just cause of the current events of the times. Better to be safe than sorry. A group that costs no money, keeps in touch and is there in case of a catastrophic emergency-which means knowing-trusting, and pledging that you will help each other in the event of an emergency in our usa. I’m in maine, researching for such a group of friends.
When you get to know the actual astronomy of 2012, the event turns out to be not so grand:http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=cGPcjMe6Ql…
I’ve always been one for tight community living though and it might be necessary during a depression or worldwide financial crisis to get into these types of self-sustaining communities. So, maybe it’s not such a bad idea to stock up on food, get a quality water filter and find a place that is close to a water source but inland and perhaps start to grow some food. Tomatoes and potatoes are always easy and pumpkin grows anywhere, don’t forget greens, get some chickens and a cow maybe.
No matter what happens just know that we all die physically at some point so just enjoy your life in each amazing moment we are given and enjoy the ride.
I’ll be living underground, gives me a project for the next year or two, digging a mad underground bunker.
But the key is all you need is to have no fear, have humility, have love, and confidence. The universe is a reflection of you and in order to survive all you have to do is feel and know that the Universe is wonderful.
Lots of cool (i mean crazy people!) information at alienshift.com
keep it real, lots of love. and remember, just because things are all screwed up now doesnt mean that they arent going to change completely.

Surviving the Olympics? Its going to be big…but not THAT big. Nothing other than that is going to happen so prepare all you want, it will achieve nothing. There is no Nibiru, no meteors, no aliens, no polar shifts, no magnetic reversals. May I suggest that the first thing you stockpile is science books? It sounds like you havent looked at any. If its really that big and dangerous, then why do you think theres going to be a safe place to hide?
Have fun preparing for yet another failed doomsday. Sure I’ll come… as long as I get to keep the tin foil hat shielding us from the mind controlling rays emitted from the radioactive squirrel monkeys carried by Nibiru.
Yes, there should be a survival group for those who have promoted this.
It might prevent them from getting horsewhipped or their ar$es kicked from here to kingdom come, which they oh so richly deserve.
It is just another fake armageddon, do you know all that ends is the Mayan calender ?
No thanks, I would rather not waste my time and resources on something that is obviously a load of crap.
